Feb 23rd: 1 CAR MVA

    At 1848 Department 21 was dispatched to a mva with unknown number of vehicles. First on scene, Wysox 8 reported 1 vehicle with heavy damage and 1 patient with minor injuries. Once the vehicle was removed and the roadway was cleaned Department 21 returned in service at 1949.

Jan 20th: Tractor Trailer Fire




    At 0948 Department 21 was dispatched to a report of a tractor and trailer fire at Piphers Diner. First units on scene reported a fully involved tractor with no structures endangered. The fire was under control and the department was placed back in service at 1046.

Jan 17th: Early Morning Roll Over


    
Around 0400 Department 21 was dispatched to a one vehicle MVA on Barrett Road in Asylum township. First arriving units found one vehicle on its roof. The patient was at a near by residents, uninjured. All units that responded were put back into service and Wysox 1 and Wysox 2 remained on scene until the state police and a local wrecker crew arrived. With the vehicle removed from the roadway and road reopened, Department 21 was placed back in service at 0550. 

Jan 15th: 2 Accidents Keep Co. 21 Busy



    Around 0730 Department 21 was dispatched to a 1 vehicle MVA (pictured) on route 187, across from the old Wysox Elem. School.  
    Around 10:00 Department 21 was again dispatched to a 2 vehicle MVA at Aleah's Style on the Mile. There were no injuries sustained in either accident. All 3 vehicles were totaled. 

Jan 13th: Explosion Occurs at Craftmaster

    Around 1830 Department 21 was dispatched to an explosion at the Craftmaster plant in wysox township. First arriving units confirmed there had been an explosion and immediately called for a second alarm. Once the Engine arrived on scene and was allowed access through the front gate, the engine along with manpower continued to the silo that was now on fire because of the explosion. With enough manpower fighting the blaze, crews were assembled outside the main gate for firefighter relief purposes. Around 1945 the fire was under control and the situation was then turned over to Craftmaster personal and all departments were returned into service. Assisting Department 21 at the scene were Towanda, North Towanda, and Rome.

 Dec 12th: Shed Fire Endangering Structure     At  1045 today, Department 21 was dispatched to a shed fire on Rt 187 North just before Gilletts Bridge with exposures. Engine 3 responded and once on scene made a hard attack on the fire. Once the fire was extinguished and mop-up was complete, Department 21 was placed back in service at 1130.

Dec 7th: Open House Held at The Station
    
On December 6th, Wysox Fire Company held an open house at the station. This was the first open house held since the first open house in 2004. People attending the open house,
had the opportunity to view the recently installed plaques, which recognize the hundreds of people and businesses that donated towards the construction of the fire hall. In a hallway in the fire hall are three plaques, which recognize by name 380 individuals and businesses who donated toward the current building. Another plaque installed in the hall in conjunction with Sunday's open house recognizes the donation made by the C&N Bank toward the building's construction, while still another plaque installed at the facility's chicken barbecue pit recognizes Claverack Rural Electric Cooperative for its donation.  Dec 5th: Winter Weather Leads to Crash

     Around 1330 this afternoon a one vehicle tractor trailer roll over was reported just east of Claverack on Rt 6 in Standing Stone Township. Upon arrival of Wysox 1, it was found to be a two vehicle " t-bone " collision including a box truck and a pickup truck. Chief Keeney reported that there were moderate injuries to the passenger of the pickup and minor injuries to the two drivers. The passenger was transported via ambulance. Once vehicles were removed and clean up was completed, Department 21 was placed back in service around 1630.
